In September last year, the People’s Daily and China Daily placed a headline position at the same time. At the same time, they published news of a television interview by Comrade Deng Xiaoping with Mike Wallace, a reporter for the 60-minute broadcast by CBS. Each was accompanied by a piece of news photo. When we compare the news photos of the two newspapers together, we find that there is a big difference in terms of the angle of filming, the momentous selection and the reflection of the characteristics of news events.
