Granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is the second hematopoietic growth factor listed as a new drug after erythropoietin (EPO) in recent years, and has the effect of preventing chemotherapy-induced neutropenia or promoting its recovery. This article provides an overview of the recent advances in G-CSF research, its use in the treatment of cancer and its problems, and other potential clinical applications.
