《金山勇士》是华裔女作家汤亭亭的代表作,作品向人们展示了早期华裔美国人在美国的辛酸血泪史。尽管男性在《金山勇士》中占据了大量的篇幅,但是华裔女性所发挥的作用不容忽视。本文试图从女性主义角度,利用解构男女二元对立的方法,解读分析《金山勇士》中“沉默而反抗”的女性形象,突显女性在种族主义及父权制度双重压迫下的行动和反抗,展现逐渐觉醒中的女性意识,发出女性反抗的声音,重塑女性身份。
Jinshan Warrior is a masterpiece by Chinese-American writer Maxine Hong Kingston. The works showcase the history of early Chinese-Americans in the United States.
