Dactimicin is a disaccharide aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by Dactylosporangium matsuzakienzae. It is not degraded by many aminoglycoside modifying enzymes. It is reported that its ear, nephrotoxicity than gentamicin, amikacin, or asmusin low. This article compared the antibacterial activity of Dactimicin against gentamicin against newly clinically isolated Gram-negative and -positive strains. The minimum inhibitory concentration of Dactimicin against Enterobacter generally ranges from 0.19 to 12.5 mg / L, and the most valuable MIC is 0.78 to 3.13 mg / L. The activity of Dactimicin is generally equal to or slightly lower than the activity of gentamicin (see Table 1). The two antibiotics have similar antibacterial activity to Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas aeruginosa but lower activity against Enterobacter. They have antibacterial activity against staphylococci, serotype A streptococci and pneumococci. But on the other hand,
