The CLEO’90 Laser and Electro-Optics (IQEC’90) Conference was held concurrently with the Anaheim Convention Center in California, USA from May 21-25, 1990. In addition to the two thematic areas have their own special session, there are joint thematic meetings. The number of invited reports and oral reports of the two meetings was about 1050, and about 300 reports were posted, covering a wide range of topics. There are 15 topics in CLEO’90: 1) Gas and free electron lasers; 2) Solid and liquid lasers; 3) Semiconductor lasers; 4) Nonlinear optical and laser spectroscopy applications; 5) Phase change and photorefractive devices;
