本文分析了双语教学的内涵和开展双语教学的重要性,指出我国开展双语教学应该兼顾母语和英语的平行发展,即既要强化母语的优势,保证中华文明的延续和发展,又要兼顾现代社会国际化的发展趋向,重视英语作为国际语言的地位,提高学生的英语应用能力,培养高素质复合型人才,实现我国高等教育的可持续发展。
This paper analyzes the connotation of bilingual education and the importance of bilingual education. It points out that bilingual education in our country should take into account the parallel development of mother tongue and English. That is to say, we must strengthen the advantages of mother tongue, ensure the continuation and development of Chinese civilization, Internationalization of development trends, pay attention to the status of English as an international language to improve students’ ability to use English, cultivate high-quality composite talents, to achieve sustainable development of China’s higher education.
