The book includes not only an open academic discussion of Chinese and its grammar by Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767-1835), Jean-Pierre Abel-Rémusat (1788-1832) and other Asian scholars, The first communication was made with Ray Musa from 1824 to 1831. The book comprehensively shows the academic discussions of the two scholars in the field of Chinese and their pioneering contributions, presents a multi-lingual research methodology, reproduces the birth of modern Sinology, and provides a new historical document for Sinological research. The letters that appear in this article were written in 1827. In the letter, Humboldt responded to some of the opinions expressed in the commentary issued by Lemusha with a letter addressed to Lemusha: On the generality of the grammatical form and the character of the Chinese spirit.
