万载方言属于赣方言。万载县位于江西省西北部,东面是宜丰县、上高县,南面是宜春市,西临湖南省,北接铜鼓县,县城康乐镇。明清时期,由于战乱等原因,大批客家人迁入万载县,由此,县内赣方言和客家方言并存,赣方言分布在平原地带,客家方言分布在山区,应该说在万载赣方言还是占绝对的优势地位的。由于万载是花炮的发源地,历史上的商业活动对万载方言产生了一定的影响,且由于地域差别及邻县方言的影响,使得不同乡镇内部也有一定
