蒲包花又名荷包花,因其花形奇特、具二唇花冠、上唇前伸、下唇膨胀成荷包状而得名。蒲包花属玄参科草本花卉,2月~5月开花,花大,有黄色、红色、白色、复色等,并有红、褐斑点。其花色鲜艳,花形奇特,观赏价值较高,是冬春受人喜爱的盆花。蒲包花播种时间在8月~9月,可选腐叶土配园土作盆土。蒲包花喜中等肥力,在富含腐殖质、疏松透气的沙质壤土中生长良好,pH值宜在6左右。因蒲包花种子细小,播种时可将种子与细沙混匀,再撒于育苗盆上,保持盆土潮湿,盖玻璃或塑料膜后放于阴处。出苗后见光,可放环境温度15℃的有光、通风处。长出2片~3片叶时第一次移植,12月定植于大盆中。
