《陈独秀与张国焘交往轶事》(《党史文汇》1997年第11期,作者张家康)一文说:“大革命失败后,张国焘为了表白自己的‘清白’之身,对陈独秀已由阳奉阴违转为恶劣无礼,在一次中央会议上,他甚至拍着桌子辱骂陈独秀。”此事涉及中共党史上两个重要人物,为了弄清历史的真相,避免以讹传讹,有必要进行认真的考证,考证此事发生的时间,分析出现此事的原因。张国焘拍桌大骂陈独秀,确有其事,但此事发生在何时,是大革命失败之前,还是真的如上面引文所说的是在“大革命失败后”呢?为了说明问题,我们必须弄清楚几个问题,即中国大革命何时失败,这则史料的来源及张国焘为什么会这样无理呢?
