《这里真安静》是余秋雨海外行旅文字中首屈一指的篇什,描绘的是作者在新加坡参观一座埋有一万多名二战中侵略日军遗骸和许多同时代日本妓女亡灵的墓地的感想。余氏从这墓地的偏远、凄凉、冷落和被遗忘中,解读出日本军人令人悚然惊心和让人畏惧的民族性格,以及妓女的出卖肉体与日军的屠杀掠夺之间内在动因的深刻同一性。与此同时,作者还对日本作家给予了完全不同于军人和妓女的另一种评判,从而使这片墓地以及这篇文章,有了一个特别的“三元结构”。
“The place is quiet here” is the foremost chapter in Yu Qiuyu’s overseas travel writing, depicting the author’s visit in Singapore to a visit to a burial site with over 10,000 dead Japanese aggression in World War II and many contemporary Japanese prostitutes. From the remoteness, desolation, neglect and oblivion of the cemetery, Yu’s interpretation of the terrifying and daunting national character of the Japanese military and the profound motivation behind the internal motives of the prostitutes’ betrayal and the massacre of the Japanese army Sex. In the meantime, the author gave another judgment to Japanese writers that is completely different from military and prostitutes, giving the cemetery and this article a special “triple structure.”
