The British plan to cut its existing West Germany troops from 80,000 (four divisions of about 77,000 plus a tactical aviation unit) to 50,000 plans was met by the Allies almost at the conference Unanimous opposition. Some say that this plan is a threat to the North Atlantic Alliance and will give people an impression of Western weakness. Some say that once the plan is implemented, it will lose a useful bargaining ground in disarmament negotiations. Some say this is a serious psychological and political blow to Europe. In short, we blame the British for a while without any agreement. The media and public figures in the British press expressed their great indignation and disappointment at the attitude of allies. An editorial in the Daily Express said: “The taxpayers in the United Kingdom are much more heavily paid than those who try to discourage the disarmament of Sandis, and the British residents should not be denied the opportunity to respite.” February On the 27th,
