直到86岁高龄,英国女王伊丽莎白二世依旧操持着一份没有退休期限的工作——英国君主。2012年6月3日,她身穿乳白色套装,头戴白色圆边礼帽,登上了泰晤士河上的王室游船,迎来自己登基六十周年的庆典活动。女王的背已经显得有些佝偻,登船的时候双腿微微发颤。尽管当天的雨下个不停,但她坚持不打伞,在船头站立了近3个小时,一路保持微笑,每隔一会儿就扬起右手,向两岸民众挥手示意。过去60年里,这同样的站姿、笑容和手势,她上演了无数遍。
