The WB201 walking hydraulic excavator is different from ordinary crawler or tire hydraulic excavators in that it does not have a special walking machine. This is because the excavator’s movement time in the construction site accounts for about 10% of the total operation time. Using a simple walking device has no effect on the production efficiency of continuous excavation work. This type of excavator was developed in 1974 (see Figure 1) and successively in Beijing No.5 and No.6 Construction Engineering Corporation No.6.
