国际地球科学联合会(IUGS)主办的全球地球科学杂志Episodes,从1997年(第20卷)开始由中国出版发行。第20卷第1期已经出版,刊载了现任国际地科联主席R.Brett、前任主席W.S.Fyfe的文章,介绍了Episodes发展的历史和地球科学系统21世纪发展方向。本期主要涉及地层学研究,有国际二叠纪地层分会主席金玉干等人关于二叠纪年代地层学划分、国际林罗纪地层分会主席Giulio Paria等人关于葡萄牙侏罗纪Aalrnian/Baocian界线的确定、前国际新第三纪地层分会主席F.F.Steininger关于意大利Lemme—Carrosio第三纪标准剖面、W.D.Huff等人关于阿根廷Precordillera中奥陶统生物地层学与K-膨润土的锆石铀铅法年代学对应等论文。本期还报导了许多国际地学会议、国际合作项目(IGCP)执行情况的报告,
Episodes, a global geoscience magazine sponsored by the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS), was published by China since 1997 (Volume 20). Vol. 20, No. 1 has been published and published an article by R.Brett, former president of the International Federation of Science and Technology, and W. S. Feyfe, former chairman, introducing the development history of Episodes and the development direction of the earth science system in the 21st century. This issue mainly relates to stratigraphy research. There is a review on stratigraphic division of the Permian by Giulio Paria, chairman of the International Lamuilian Stratigraphy Branch, and others on the Aalrnian / Baocian Jurassic boundary in Portugal Confirmed by FFSteininger, former chairman of the International Neogene Stratigraphy Branch, about the Lemme-Carrosio Tertiary standard profile of Italy, WD Huff et al., Zircon Uranium and Lead-lead chronology of the Middle Ordovician Biostratigraphy and K-bentonite in Precordillera, Argentina Correspondence and other papers. This issue also reports on many international conferences on geosciences, reports on the implementation of the International Cooperation Project (IGCP)
