应日本文化部之邀。书法家一了先生于6月1日至8月29日在日本进行了三个月的学术交流与艺术创作。这是日本文化部首次邀请中国的书法家个人赴日创作、交流。在日期间,日本著名美术评论家海上雅臣先生安排一了于东京艺术大学、多摩美术大学、大东文化大学等处进行了一系列重要的艺术活动与学术交流,并于8月26日在东京举办了个展。引起了日本书坛乃至美术界、评论界的广泛关注。据悉,一了东瀛行的文集将在12月份出版发行。在书写艺术日益成为中国现代艺术不可或缺的重要资源的境遇中,“书法家”这个有些陈旧、封闭的符号一直游离在当代艺术以外,成为大众喜闻乐见的传统娱乐而存在,或者只是在“书协”活动的小范围内红红火火。作为边缘状态,从不参与书协展览的书法家一了,由于他特立独行、超凡脱俗的行为、创作与思想,成为中国书法进入现代语境的重要艺术家而倍受关注并饱受争议。为了使读者朋友们能更全面地了解一了此行的所获与心路历程。《十方艺术》主编强俣先生于一了回国后,在其工作室对其进行了专题采访。现将此次采访全文刊出,从一了机敏、慧智的思想和一针见血的话语机锋中,读者朋友们可约略窥知其对人对艺那卓识过人的心智和通脱灵悟的境界。文中选择刊登了一了在日本活动的图片与作品,简略地反映了其
