The 1.3 billion people have established China’s position in the global consumer market. At present, China has become the largest consumer market in the world outside of the United States. In 2010, China’s GDP surpassed Japan for the first time, ranking second in the world, with a per capita GDP of US$4,000. According to international standards, when per capita GDP reaches 4,000 US dollars, the people’s consumption structure begins to change from survival type to development type and hedonic type, and brand consumption will become the mainstream of consumption.
