6月24日,在世卫组织宣布对北京“双解除”的时刻,市委书记刘淇同志正在北京市旅游局调研。刘淇同志满怀信心地对在座的首都大型旅游企业的负责人说:北京作为旅游资源最丰富的城市,尽管受到了非典的冲击,我们应该充满信心地把旅游事业搞得更好。在党的十六大精神和“三个代表”重要思想的指引下,在市委、市政府的坚强领导下,北京旅游业依靠改革开放20多年来打下的牢固基础,迎来了一批又一批的海内外旅游者,正向做大做强,发展为北京经济的支柱产业和建设世界旅游强市的目标奋进。
