The annual meeting of cooperation on rice breeding and regional experiment in the southern rice area in 1983 was presided over by Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and held in Shanghai from January 4 to January 10, 1984. Representatives from 15 provinces, cities and autonomous regions of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences and some areas of agricultural science institutes, as well as responsible comrades, experts and scholars from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and China Rice Research Institute attended the conference. A total of 127 people.
