森林的生产力与林分的结构状况有很大的关系,在森林资源的调查中经常可以遇到,同样的立地条件、相同的林分年令,森林单位面积蓄积量常常会有很大的波动,从数十立方米的蓄积量到数百立方米不等。这种波动追根溯源,都与林木树种组成的变化、层次重叠的形式、林冠郁闭的程度、立木数量的多寡、径级的大小以及林下植被发育的疏密等密切相关。因此,研究天然森林生产力与林分结构的关系,分析影响森林产量的群落结构因素,找出高产林分结构,对于发展林业生产具有极其重要意义。
