1983~1984年,在塑料大棚内用番茄早熟品种早粉二号和中熟品种强力米寿进行清种以及这两个品种隔行间作的田间对比实验证明:前期产量以清种早粉二号最高,两品种隔行间作居中,清种强力米寿最低,产量仅为早粉二号的二分之一。但全期产量则清种强力米寿(核亩产6,972公斤)极显著地高于清种早粉二号(核亩产5,638公斤)。并略高于两品种隔行间作(核亩产6,257公斤),差异不显著。全期亩产值清种早粉二号和两品种隔行间作分别高于清种强力米寿12.9%和12.3%.生育调查表明,强力米寿的营养器官生长快,长势强,但开花及果实发育慢。早粉二号发育快,结果早,采收期比强力米寿早6天,但果实整齐度差。因而采用早熟品种与中熟品种隔行间作,可兼获较高经济收入及提早供应市场的双重效应。
