Driven by the booming growth in developing countries, by 2035, global energy demand will increase by about 30%, but some of the growth will be offset by the rapidly rising energy efficiency. Although it is estimated that non-fossil fuels will account for half of the growth in energy supply over the next two decades, Outlook forecasts that oil, gas and coal will remain the major energy sources driving the world economy, accounting for 75% of the total energy supply in 2035
