一美国是一个工农业和科学技术极为发达的国家。它在航空、航天、电子、石油等许多新兴科技领域处于世界领先地位。在农业方面,美国主要以小麦、玉米、大豆、棉花、肉类为主,其产量占世界首位。在科学技术方面,美国甚为重视并取得了高度发展。二次大战后,美国政府采取了鼓励科学技术发展的一系列政策和措施,使科技跃入世界的领先地位。美国政府不但重视科学技术的研究和发展,而且更注重科技研究的项目管理、规则、咨询和评价。美国政府有一套比较复杂的科技机构。由美国总统和国会制定国家总的科学技术政策;政府各行政部门为实现特定任务而编制的科技政策和建议具有很大自主权。作为立法机构的国会对科学技术的发展起着十分重要的作用,
The United States is a country in which agriculture, industry and science and technology are extremely developed. It is in the aviation, aerospace, electronics, petroleum and many other emerging science and technology in the world leader.
