广州军区某师连续4年被军区、集团军和驻地省、市、县评为计划生育先进单位和红旗单位。1986年,又被评为全国、全军的计划生育先进单位。部队实行体制改革、精简整编以来,该师针对师、团计划生育办公室没有单独列编、部队分散和人员变动大以及计划生育管理的重点对象增多等新情况、新特点,坚持从实际出发,不断完善基层管理工作,从而有效地促进了全师计划生育工作的深入开展。至今没有发现计划外生育、大月份引产和早婚、早育。他们的做法和体会是:
