最近东芝公司已将压制网状阴极成功地使用在许多电子管中,例如超高频速调管(IV20和M-4620)、宇宙通讯速调管(M-4627)以及大功率行波管(M-4803)。IV20管有一个直径45毫米的凹面阴极,在电波研究所这种管子用于599兆赫超高频超视距通讯,已满意地工作了几千小时。在几万伏电压下,这种阴极具有300毫安/厘米2的电流密度。上述管子的最大的阴极是用200吨油压机制成的,它的直径为60毫米,电流密度为1.5安/厘米2。这些阴极的重要特性如下:1.可以允许大的电流密度;2.由于它们的结构和制造工艺特殊,所以耐机械振动和耐热震的能力大;3.和其它大电流密度阴极相比,工作温度很低,4.边缘非常锐利,结构很牢固,因而有良好的电气性能,且便于管子装架。
Recently, Toshiba has successfully used pressed cathode cathodes in many electron tubes such as the ultra high frequency klystron (IV20 and M-4620), the universal klystron (M-4627) and the high power traveling wave tube (M -4803).
