I and Cao Haibin are acquainted with TV documentary creations. I think we are similar in spirit and temperament, and have a lot of sympathy for life and creation. Over the years, we have enjoyed our cooperation and regarded each other as friends. Therefore, most of the works I have made in recent years are involved. But when he asked me to do a re-sort of script for the five-episode documentary Yuhuatai, I refused with almost no hesitation. If you want to reject one thing, you can always find a lot of reasons. Frankly speaking, the most important thing is because, from the bottom of our hearts, we are unwilling to do such seemingly very promising themes. It seems to me that Yuhuatai, along with the revolutionary martyrs there, has long been familiar in the hearts of the people.
