Objective: To investigate the effect of diabetic retinopathy (Diabeticretinopathy, DR) on visual function. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 135 patients with diabetes mellitus history, gender, visual acuity, ocular fundus manifestations and the relationship between eyesight changes and visual acuity, fasting blood glucose (FBG), postprandial blood glucose 2 hours (PBG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) Other laboratory indicators. Results: The decline of visual function in patients with DR was more severe than that in non-DR patients. The visual impairment of patients with DR was gradually aggravated. The main cause of DR blindness was vitreous hemorrhage (50%). The course of DR patients, HbA1c levels were longer or higher than non-DR patients, female patients with diabetes DR incidence was higher than men. Conclusion: DR has a serious effect on the visual function of diabetic patients and has a strong blinding effect. The course, sex and blood sugar control of diabetic patients can be used as a reference index to predict the occurrence of DR, which is beneficial to the eyesight protection of diabetic patients.
