我们先看看中华书局标点本《明史》的一段记载:洪武三年,罢太仓,黄渡市舶司。(卷75“职官四”)观此之标点,似乎太仓黄渡为二市舶司。实为标点者之误。《明太祖实录》卷四九说:(洪武三年二月)甲戌,罢太仓黄渡市舶司。凡番舶至太仓者,令军卫有司封籍其数,送赴京师。显然,太仓黄渡,仅一市舶司。按,明初黄渡属太仓州,故云太仓黄渡市舶司。犹如浙江宁波市舶司之称谓。明人胡宗宪《筹海图编》卷十二记得极其明白:
