本文用定量、定性相结合的研究方法,以全国8所高中的1518名学生为调查对象,分析了高中学生素质教育理念及其与综合语言运用能力五个方面和测试成绩的关系。研究结果表明:(1)素质教育理念得分大大高于综合能力和学习策略得分;学生普遍赞同“会学” 比“学会”更重要和“一切为了学生发展”的理念。但他们在以教师为中心的教学方式和减轻学生负担方面得分低。(2)高分组学生与低分组学生的素质教育理念具有显著差异,高分组学生的理念更接近《课标》倡导的理念,但在和谐师生关系和减轻学生负担上,他们的差异较小。(3)持成败关键在自己的观点的学生,学习策略使用水平高,英语成绩也高。(4)素质教育理念与综合语言运用能力五个方面均显著相关,表明《课标》提出的以发展学生综合语言运用能力的总体目标建立了较好的英语教学模式。(5)素质教育理念不仅对测试成绩有直接影响,还通过综合技能和学习策略对测试成绩产生间接影响。
In this paper, a quantitative and qualitative research method is combined with 1518 students from 8 high schools all over the country to investigate the relationship between the concept of quality education in senior middle school students and their ability of using comprehensive language and test scores. The results show that: (1) Quality education concept score is much higher than comprehensive ability and learning strategy score; students generally agree with “learning ” more than “learning ” more important and “all for the student development ” concept. However, they scored low on teacher-centered teaching methods and on alleviating the burden on students. (2) The concept of quality education of high-school students and low-school students has significant differences. The high-school students ’philosophy is closer to the concept advocated by “curriculum standard”. However, their differences are less in terms of harmonious teacher-student relationship and students’ . (3) students who hold the key to success or not in their own point of view, have high levels of learning strategies and high English scores. (4) The concept of quality education and the ability of using comprehensive language are significantly related in five aspects, which shows that the “target standard” proposed to develop the overall goal of students’ ability to use integrated language to establish a better model of English teaching. (5) The concept of quality education not only has a direct impact on the test scores, but also indirectly influences the test scores through comprehensive skills and learning strategies.
