我厂自制一台1.5吨工频无芯感应电炉炼钢。炉衬采用镁砂加卤水打结而成。为了防止炉衬被钢水破坏后到达线圈造成事故,我们装设了安全保护系统。该系统其原理是,在炉衬两侧安装两个电极,测量两电极间的电阻来观察炉衬情况。当电阻减少时说明炉衬薄了,当阻为零时说明钢水已经穿透炉衬,这时自动发出报井信号。我们在使用过程中曾有一次电阻值突然为零报警,经停炉倾出全部钢水检查,发现炉衬有手掌大的一个洞,钢水已经穿过了钢板,并破坏了感应线圈的绝缘,感应线圈的局部地方表面已经熔化,情况非常危险,只是由于装设了炉衬的测量回路——报警系统,监测了炉衬电阻的变化情况,才避免了钢水破
