去年十二月,我应美国新泽西州欣欣花坊公司的邀请,去帮忙搞了园林、盆景、水仙花三个展览。在这期间我接触了一些插花艺术大师,从他们的谈活和展品的表现形式上,我深深地体会到,西方式插花和东方式插花有很大的差异。所谓西方式插花,一般是指欧美各国传统的插花方式。这类插花外形多为规则几何形,所以又称规则式插花。这类插花都选用花朵丰腴、色彩鲜艳的草本和木本花
Last December, at the invitation of Xinxin Huafang Company in New Jersey, I went to help with three exhibitions of gardens, bonsai and daffodils. During this period, I came in contact with some flower arrangement masters. From their talkativeness and the expression of exhibits, I deeply realized that there are great differences between Western flower arrangement and Oriental flower arrangement.
