我们当前生活的世界是被设计所“包围”的世界,伴随着设计而来是炫耀式的景观表象,在这个表象中我们渐渐变成官能性的人,关注着本能的愉悦感,充满着物质的贪欲。整个市场也在利用物质欲望来创造需求,社会也因此变得舍本求末。设计所引发的问题越来越多,我们似乎也忘却了设计是要为大众服务的……面对由人、设计、社会所组成的复杂问题,我们提出了平民设计的主张,就是要以平民为设计主体去探寻设计之道并以此来呼唤设计的本质回归,进而梳理关系,解决问题。
