五十年,在历史的长河中不过是一朵稍纵即逝的浪花,但对于一个曾经长期缺医少药的民族边远地区来说,湘西州人民医院五十年的发展史,既是“州医”人不断学习、不断改革、创业不止的奋斗史,又是“州医”人以良好的医德、精湛的医技为湘西州各族人民服务,帮助在这里的土家、苗、汉各族同胞与贫病作斗争、奔小康、患难与共的五十年。他们与湘西州各族人民一道,共同书写出了湘西州经济社会发展史中最绚丽夺目的一章。
