2009年8月23日,“对于婴幼儿来说,流感的可怕之处在于它能引起许多严重的继发性感染,常见的如肺炎球菌性肺炎等疾病,这往往是流感造成严重后果的原因。因此,面对即将到来的流感季,婴幼儿亟需全面预防流感及其并发症。”中华医学会儿科学分会呼吸学组副组长、首都儿科研究所附属儿童医院呼吸科主任医师陈慧中在日前由中国卫生部、世界卫生组织(WHO)和全球顶尖医学期刊《柳叶刀》共同主办的“流感大流行应对与准备国际科学研讨会”上这样告诉记者。
