Aluminum alloy semi-finished products with ultrasonic testing in a metallurgical plant has been widely used. There are currently more than 700 kinds of models of products using ultrasound. The plant uses a mechanized submerged ingot ultrasound device (Figure 1). It is capable of inspecting open hollow ingots of 2 mm long, 300-500 mm in diameter, solid and up to 900 mm in diameter.
