Paraneoplastic syndromes are common in small cell lung cancer, followed by neuroendocrine tumors. These body-immune neurological syndromes may reflect the host’s immune response to neuronal components of tumor cells. Lambert-Eaton syndrome is a neuromuscular transmission disease caused by antibodies that damage presynaptic choline acetate.
