2007年6月中下旬、7月初,吴仪副总理主持召开了东中西部地区三个座谈会并书面征求各省区市意见;7月23至24日,国务院召开全国居民基本医疗保险试点工作会议,出台试点指导意见,确定首批79个城市正式启动试点。8月,城镇居民医保试点新闻发布会、试点城市市长研讨班、中国政府网访谈等一系列紧锣密鼓的活动将居民医保再次升温。
In late-June and early-July 2007, Vice Premier Wu Yi chaired three forums in eastern, central and western regions and solicited opinions from all the provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. From July 23 to 24, the State Council held a pilot conference on basic medical insurance for residents across the country, Promulgation of pilot guidance, to determine the first batch of 79 cities officially started pilot. In August, a series of intense activities such as a press conference for urban residents ’health insurance pilot programs, a pilot city mayor seminar, and an interview with the Chinese government network will heat up residents’ health insurance again.
