镇江是国家级历史文化名城、中国优秀旅游城市、国家园林城市。她地处长江与京杭大运河、吴文化与楚文化、上海经济圈与南京都市圈交汇处。镇江有3000多年历史,是吴文化的发祥地。历古以来,大凡在中国文学史上有较大影响的诗联家都到过镇江并留有诗联作品。镇江不仅坐拥驰名中外的金山、焦山、北固山、南山、茅山、宝华山等风景名胜,而且集儒、释、道融为一体的宗教文化也名扬海内外。城市山林、大江风貌,更突出镇江得天独厚的环境优势。
Zhenjiang is a national historical and cultural city, China’s outstanding tourist city, national garden city.
