Mankind has always been trying to stay young forever. However, despite significant advances in medicine and dramatic improvements in diet, the lifespan of people is currently only around 70 years of age. Most experts believe that people’s lives are at most 120 years old. Therefore, scientists are not alone in extending their natural lifespan, but are committed to improving the quality of life, controlling aging and preventing senile diseases. A new encouraging finding is that mutations in one of the earthworms result in a 60% longer lifespan. American geneticists hope to find the same human gene. But other scholars think the assumption that the human body is controlled by a single gene is too simple. In fact, the human body is living genes, not death genes
