档案文件经过雨水的浸湿,而又在长期无人过问的情况下,很可能有许多文件成饼。这些成饼的文件,俗称“档案砖”。过去,我们总认为“档案砖”只能把它当做展览品,是用来揭露反动统治者不重视档案工作的一个例子,同时也还可以教育我们自己应如何去改善保管工作的技术条件。但从没有积极设法使这部分珍贵的档案资料为社会主义建设服务。现在,经过整风运动,在全国工农业大跃进的形势面前,特别是在档案工作以利用为纲的方针提出以后,我们破除了迷信,大胆地钻研,终于使“档案砖”也恢复利用了。使“档案砖”恢复利用的方法有两种: Archives files soaked in rainwater, and in the long term unattended cases, there is likely to be a lot of paperwork.
