The first energy academic exchange meeting of the three northeastern provinces was held on August 26-27, 1991 in Dandong City, Liaoning Province. The meeting was co-hosted by the secretary-generals of the three provincial energy research associations. A total of 83 representatives attended the meeting. The exchange meeting received strong support from the leaders of relevant departments in Liaoning Province and Dandong City. Comrade Ma Yongji, Chairman of the Energy Research Association of Liaoning Province, Comrade Zhu Dekun, Deputy Director of the Economic Commission of Dandong City, Comrade Deng Guosen, Minister of the Liaoning Association of Science and Technology, and Manager of Dandong Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd.
