结膜吸吮线虫(Thelazia callipaeda)曾见于苏联、巴基斯坦、印度、朝鲜、日本和中国等地。主要寄生于犬、猫以及狐、兔、猿等动物的眼结膜囊内。寄生于人体结膜部的病例报道,最早在1917年,由Stuckey报告了一例中国男性患者。在日本由萩原等于1957年首例报道后,相继已见有29例,患者集中分布在九州的熊本、宫崎、大分三县,此外,在香川县、京都府、爱知县仅各有一例报道。对于本病例,作者疑为东京都所感染,报道如下。患者男性,18岁,消防学校学生。自觉一周来右眼搔痒伴异物感,用手揉眼时发现一条白色带状虫体,而于1979年9月29日到眼科医院诊治,检查两眼视力正常,右眼结膜轻度充血、水肿,在翻起上眼睑后局部发现
