对于一个搞作曲的人来说,要给孩子们写歌曲,就有必要熟悉孩子们的生活。要热爱他们,关心他们;要克服轻视儿童歌曲的观点,满腔热情地为他们而创作。这是关系到祖国的少年儿童一代能否健康成长的大事情。从某种意义上说,我国的四个现代化能否实现,取决于现在的少年儿童是否受过良好的教育,是否在德、智、体、美几方面都能全面发展,健康成长,因此,采用各种方式,其中包括歌曲形式对少年儿童进行教育,实在是音乐工作者义不容辞的职责,基于这种认识,虽然我喜欢写器乐作品,但我也把创作儿童歌曲放到重要的位置予以考虑。
