一、文章世家关于邓椿先世与生平,《四库全书总目提要·古今姓氏书辩证提要》曾经有误,其云:“宋邓名世撰,而其子椿裒次子。名世字元亚,临川人。祖孝甫,见《宋史·隐逸传》,即原序称文昌先生者也。椿有《画继》已著录。”然《四库全书·画继提要》却云:“椿,双流人。祖为邓洵武,政和中知枢密院事。”可见两处乃为自相矛盾。查《宋史》,邓名世之子为邓椿年,又王应麟《玉海》卷五十亦云“名世字椿年,裒集次序之。”由此可证两人并非同一人,一个是临川人,一个是
