红粘土是我国南方碳酸盐类岩石分布地区的一种特殊性土。它与一般粘性土比较,具有独特的成土母岩与成土条件和基岩的接触关系。当红粘土作为建筑地基时,不仅在土质性能规律上,而且在厚度及状态变化特征上,均不相同于相似成因类型的粘土。因此,有必要根据红粘土的这些工程地质特征,采用不同于常规的方法,进行勘察及地基评价。本文兹就红粘土地区工程地质勘察及地基评价中的关于地基类别的划分、详勘阶段钻探点深度的确定以及地基不均匀性评价等问题加以探讨。
Red clay is a special kind of soil in the distribution area of carbonate rocks in the south of China. Compared with general clayey soil, it has a unique relationship between the parent rock and the soil formation conditions and bedrock. When red clay is used as a building foundation, not only in the laws of soil properties, but also in the characteristics of thickness and state changes, are not the same as the clay of similar genetic types. Therefore, according to these engineering geological features of red clay, it is necessary to conduct survey and foundation evaluation in a different way than conventional methods. This paper discusses the issues related to the classification of foundation types, the depth of drilling points in the detailed survey phase, and the evaluation of foundation unevenness in the engineering geological survey and foundation evaluation of the Red Clay area.
