对安东尼·伯吉斯(Anthony Burgess,1917—1993),本刊的读者大都比较熟悉,他是一位英国著名的小说家、文学评论家。本刊一九八五年就介绍了他的文学论著《现代小说99种》,在读者中产生了广泛的影响和好评。至于他的长篇小说代表作《带发条的橘子》(1962)、《马来亚三部曲》(1964:《老虎时代》〔1957〕、《毯中之敌》〔1958〕、《东方之床》〔1959〕)、《世界末日新闻》(1982)、《邪恶王国》(1985),许多读者更是耳熟能详。
To Anthony Burgess (1917-1993), most readers of this publication are more familiar with, he is a famous British novelist, literary critic.
