这是一种古老的交通工具。
Several means of transport are available to you.
有几种交通工具适合你。

Means表示“方法，手段”，其单复数形式相同。当means作主语且有every, each, one, a等词修饰时，谓语动词用单数；有all, some, several, many, few 等词修饰时，谓语动词用复数。
Means, way, method, manner均有“方式，方法”之意，其介词搭配为：by ... means , in ... way/manner, with ... method。

v. 发生，出现，被想到
The words of the song occurred suddenly.
突然想起这首歌的歌词。

意外是什么时候发生的？
A good idea occurred to/struck me.
我想到了一个好主意。
It occurred to/struck me that I had left my bag in the taxi.

【辨析】
