本文评价了用以改善公路路堤活性粘土性质的细砂和粗砂掺合料。该活性粘土是一种分布于近海场地上的膨胀土,而细砂和粗砂这两种类型的砂可从附近取砂坑获得。细砂和粗砂分别被作为两种不同类型的掺和料来改善活性粘土的性质。击实试验用哈佛大学微型击实仪进行。供无侧限抗压强度试验用的微型试样是在最佳含水量下制备的。在同一掺合比下,对经细砂和粗砂改善过的活性粘土性质作了对比。
This paper evaluates the fine sand and grit admixtures used to improve the nature of activated clay in highway embankments. The activated clay is a type of expansive soil distributed on offshore sites, whereas fine sand and grit, both types of sand, can be obtained from nearby sand pits. Fine sand and grit are used as two different types of admixtures respectively to improve the properties of activated clay. Compaction tests were performed with Harvard Micro Compactor. Micro-specimens for unconfined compressive strength tests were prepared at optimum moisture content. At the same blending ratio, the properties of activated clay modified with fine sand and grit were compared.
