In the early 1960s, in the schools I taught, Daxing sang revolutionary winds of songs. At that time, though there were “three years of difficulties,” people were more familiar with and thoughtful in their thinking, pure in their feelings, good in social ethos, good in their school ethos and in their academic styles; especially young people, the party loyal to socialism and their cause of socialism, and full of confidence in the future of the motherland . They are happy to express their thoughts and feelings through high-spirited songs. Therefore, the singing activities of the school are thriving, full of life, people hearty, cheerful. At that time I taught music. In the singing class, I chose quite a lot of good songs to learn the spirit of Lei Feng and cultivate the socialist ethics, quality and communist ideals of the young people to sing to the children.
