用射电源测量大型天线的增益(特别是G/T)受到了重视并得到广泛的应用,但由于射电源的流量太小,这种技术只适用于测量配有低噪声接收机的大型天线的主瓣,甚至不能测量大型天线的旁瓣和噪声性能比较差的大型天线(如某些相控阵雷达),也不能测量小型天线的主瓣。本文从理论和实验两个方面叙述了一种在用射电源测量天线时通过辅助天线和噪声相关技术来改善测量灵敏度的方法,这种方法基本消除了上述弊病。
